So... I was pretty blah about the whole revising Me and My Girl. I continued to be blah, even after I heard Masaki was going to be playing Gerald and Jackie in the Hakataza version, except that I'd been dying to see how she handled a female role. Just, keep that in mind. I know it's colored my review.

So, a cute production of a cute show, but if you're going to get a Takarazuka version of Me and My Girl I still would rather recommend the 1995 production staring Amami Yuuki and Asano Kayo. This one was lacking a spark of... something. If you want to see Kiriyan blind you with her comic talent, get Ernest in Love.

I count 44, and 48 were accepted back in 2006. Does anyone see a name I missed off of the chart? Maybe they aren't all giving greetings? But I though everyone usually got a chance? Anyway, looks like Sazami Reira, Senna Ayase, and Aikaze Yume were top of their class. I wonder which one is Sumi? I wonder if she made top of her class?

In other news, Mirio got the MeMy shinko lead, and they're splitting some of the cast roles between the acts. So poor Ruu-chan only has one more chance after this to get a lead. Not unexpected, but a little bit of me still had hoped.... And Shizuku did get the musumeyaku lead. No shocker there either. I wonder... Is she going to be one of those young musumeyaku rocketed up to the top? Is that why they moved Remi & Nene? Anyway, yay for Shimon and Hayate! <3 It's going to be an interesting shinko cast.

And the new Maihime cast is out, without a change from last year's production. That'll make updating the wiki easy. ;)

Bill: Asumi Rio (I'm 99.99% sure of this), or Kouzuki Ruu ( but I suspect they'll give her the next show, if they give her a lead at all before she graduates from the shinko)
Sally: Yumesaki Nene or Ranno Hana (I wish it were Remi, but I doubt it very much)
Sir John: Kouzuki Ruu
Maria: Hazaki Mana
Gerald: Isuzu Hikari (or Ryuuki Kazuto)
Parchester: Isuzu Hikari (or Ayahoshi Rion)
Jacqueline: Ryuuki Kazuto (or Ayahoshi Rion); Or, for a change, possibly a musumeyaku? Then I would guess Nene or Remi.
Charles: Ayao June

There's Uzuki Hayate and Asanagi Mana as well, whom I suspect will have decent parts....
