Jun. 22nd, 2010 09:51 pmSlowly getting caught up with life.... ;)
Last weekend was so fun! Also, exhausting. But the fact that it's having lots of friends to run around with is what is making me tired is a good thing♥ Thank you, everyone!
Saturday morning our standby time was earlyyyyyy again. T_T What's the point in moving all of the shows back a half hour if it just means an even longer day? *grumblegrumble at people who filled in the survey INCORRECTLY* (laughs)
During irimachi Haruka and Eriina and Shizu were there, along with guy friends and boyfriends(?) in tow, and I totally didn't recognize Haruka, because she was dressed up! Then
rachpena also came up and said hello to me in line. And Laure and I exchanged a quick hello too, as our clubs moved out of standby position and into place in front of the theater.
All of this really amused the ladies in my club, and I got into a talk with K-san about Belgium (she had visited before).
Masaki came, all black for Chauvelin, wearing the sexy pirate boots I love, instead of the hideous cowboy boots which appear to be becoming popular. Score!
Afterwards I spent some time with Laure and her friend in Starbucks, then wandered to the toujitsuken line and found Haruka-tachi, and then R, and then back to Starbucks, and then back to the toujitsuken line.... I love organizing things. I am, in fact, one of those people who is annoying about taking over in these sorts of situations. <--
Anyway, all ten of us ended up taking over a corner of Prontos, and we talked and talked, in all kinds of languages. (Haruka was thrilled to have a French-speaker to talk to.) It was really fun. :3
Then I went to pick up my club ticket (house right, yay!), and the toujitsukeners got into the theater to save their spots, and I said goodbye to Laure and her friend.
Show was good! It was my last time seeing it, and Masaki's Chauvelin was as strong as ever vocally, although her speaking voice was sounding dangerously husky again. (This is a bit terrible of me, but I hope if Seri's sick it's not something that's contagious. ... Although I seriously doubt they'd have her still doing the finale if it were.) AND!! Rizu was wearing her blonde Isabelle wig. When I realized that, I knew I was lost and hoped the Masaki-kai next to me wouldn't report me for improper use of my opera glasses. *grin* SO HAPPY I GOT TO SEE THE BLOND WIG. It was really pretty, and her Isabelle was completely different too. She sniffed louder, and didn't "hmph" as she pranced off stage, and... she seemed a bit softer, somehow.
After the show ended I snagged R for lunch, which ended up being omrice in Chanter (stick with what you know? *grin*) We talked for a long time about lots of things. It was nice to decompress and chat. :) And the ladies at the table next to us eventually asked us if we'd seen the show (they were going to see the kashikiri show, and were Kiriyan fans), and we talked with them for a while.
Then it was time for me to go and check into my hotel, and once I'd done that I crashed for an hour before getting up, making myself presentable again, and heading back for demachi. Masaki♥♥ Also, we saw Mirio wallk by, headed for her ochakai, in an all-white suit with thin gold chains on it. She was other-worldly beautiful. Someone remarked that white suits had been popular with Asako too.
Oh! Speaking of Asako! I think I mentioned in one of my phone posts that R had told me that she thought Asako had gone to the Friday show. I got confirmation of this, and that Kanamin had gone with her. Aparently Asako was wearing a tunic (one of those long, flowy shirts), which was a first for many of the fans to see her in. And aparently Kanamin was walking a step behind Asako, like an old-fashoined wife, which amused my friends who saw it. ^^;

Sunday, up early AGAIN. By this point I *know* I don't need to get there by the standby time, because Masaki always comes at the same time, no matter the standby time *we* get. But I'm paranoid, so I hauled myself out of bed, checked out, hauled my bags back to a locker in the station, and met up with everyone for standby. (^^)v
Ugly cowboy boots day. Also, she seemed very tired. Later, we got the news about Seri and figured that had a lot to do with her lack of energy too.
I wasn't seeing the show that day, so after iri I went for breakfast at Mama's with the Oyako. No vampires. We watched Aki and Happa's first concert on DVD instead♥ ....Although by the fifth loop I was perhaps getting a teensy bit sick of it, but that comes later.
Then we debated and they asked what I was going to be doing for the rest of the day, and I told them I had no plans and Mama Oyako went: "Ufufufufu". <-- scary 0_0
So they invited me to karaoke and shopping in Shinjuku. Which we did! And I realized that at some point I've grown to appreciate "Hitokakera no Yuuki"; I think between us we sang it four times, the last time together. After all that we still had time to kill, so back to Mama's for dinner (and more loops of the concert). Mama is still trying to set me up with nice young men she knows, although she did take a moment to ask me if I prefered women, much to the scandal of the oyako. "Lots of fans do, you know, these days," she told them, and scolded them a bit for being so shocked. *amused* I assured her I like boys very much, but I hope nothing comes of it because I'm really a bit too busy to be unselfish at the moment and date someone properly. ;)
We spent hours on our letters, and Mama just shook her head at us. My excuse was that I was so tired my bain had frozen.
I had Mirio leftovers in my dinner. Mama told me, and Oyako Mama laughed and said the look on my face was pretty unthrilled and she guessed I'd rather have Masaki leftovers? (Mama makes bentos for some of the seito, at their daihyo's request. I ended up with bits of Mirio's fried eggs, apparently.) ;p
Guard was canceled because Masaki had shigoto, so it was just us doing a late demachi. I had been worried about catching the last train back in, but it all worked out. She came out looking gorgeous, but still subdued. Poor Seri. Poor Masaki. :(
Then I caught the second-to-last train home and crashed as soon as I got in the door. Zzzzzzzzz

I- I- .... I think it's one of those things where if you're the one inflicting the pain it doesn't cause you any? Like singing ABBA?
