I'm sorry for not replying to comments and stuff; I lost my home internet last week, and don't usually have time at work to get online. And when I *am* online, I'm trying to get caught up on the news. <3

I've been meaning to mention this! [livejournal.com profile] ti_project has released Who Is Bad? I'm very, very sorry for the delay (especially as I had wanted to get it done before La Mariposa hit the stage... oops), but thanks to Becca's help and hard work, it's now available. Love, love, love this show, and HIGHLY recommend it. ;)

Hm. Watched the Tokyo Now On Stage for Yume no Ukihashi / Apasionado! a couple of weeks ago. Lots I was going to mention, but all I can remember now is how Asumi Rio was being very quiet and soft-spoken, and mentioning how she didn't want to over-do her role as Go no Miya. And Asako was all: "No! Be more forward! Both of you [including Masaki in it], be more forward! You should be more aggressive towards getting attention on stage." And Mirio (and I!) kind of blinked, because this isn't typical advice to an underclassman, I suspect. "Please! Steal the show!"

Watched Kozuki Wataru's Ache, which was both terrible and intriguing and HOT at the same time. More on this when I've watched it again and have checked my facts, but basically Wataru's character is killed protecting her dance partner, and ends up in a kind of purgatory, where s/he must wait until her "other half" (hanshin) shows up and they can be reborn together. And then his former hanshin shows up (the partner he died for), and he finds out the partner had actually betrayed him, so he doesn't want to be her hanshin again. And then the cynical man he's met in the purgatory tells him that they also were hanshin once upon a time, when Wataru's character was a woman. And then Ayaki Nao's character says they were also hanshin together long, long ago. And things get nasty, and Wataru angsts. I liked the surprise twists at the end. <3s for Ono-Sensei. ... But someone needs to slap the keyboardist upside the head for wearing a baseball cap. Where's his professionalism?

Watched Yume no Ukihashi / Apasionado! DVD. Loved it. Loved it to pieces, and could find nothing but intense gratitude in my heart for the fact that the Revue sells their shows on DVD. Okay, maybe a few knit-picks on the fifth watch through. But the overwhelming gratitude continues to drown them out rather strongly.

Um... What else?

Oh! Finished The Two Noble Kinsmen. More on this later, but suffice it to say I am thinking Ranno Hana may have a bigger role and Hazakura Shizuku a smaller role than people are expecting. Possibly. Maybe. More on this another day as well.

Hanagata Hikaru! Double lead! They've been pushing her like crazy ever since Gin-chan no Koi, and good for them! She has some mad crazy talent, and I'm glad they've decided to use it. Flower Troupe is just overflowing with otokoyaku star talent right now. *glee*

Yuuhi. Well. I suppose I am happy she is going to be a lead otokoyaku. If she's happy. But I don't want to lose her, and this is another step towards retirement. Also, lead otokoyaku roles tend to be dull as dirt. *sigh* But, hey, she's tall enough for Cosmos, eh? Heh. And I suspect it's a shrewd move on Hankyu's part to bring her massive fan club over to Soragumi, since their Daigekijo/Tokyo ticket sales have been suffering lately.

....And drat it all, now how am I ever going to save money? My ONE month off out of their schedule was Soragumi. *scowl*

But! Now I'm getting my Un-chan/Soh combi back! *knocks on wood* The hotness, it will kill me.

March. I am terrified. March. And then May. 真咲君、頑張って下さい!応援してるよ

My ONE month off out of their schedule was Soragumi.

I really regret that you didn't see ParaPuri. Then again, it probably wasn't your type of show anyway.

Truly, I've seen clips of it on the TVs at QR, and it doesn't look like my kind of show. I think no matter which troupe was doing it I would have given it a pass. ;)

I didn't realize that Ache had a plot ^^; (Okay, it's not like I've seen it, but...)

Flower Troupe is just overflowing with otokoyaku star talent right now. *glee*

Very true. Yuuhi's transfer to soragumi has been controversial, but it definitely frees up some room. Sou and Miwacchi have needed to become nibante and sanbante respectively for a while now.

And I suspect it's a shrewd move on Hankyu's part to bring her massive fan club over to Soragumi, since their Daigekijo/Tokyo ticket sales have been suffering lately.

I was under the impression that hanagumi and soragumi were suffering equally these days?

Does the fact that "Bara ni Furu Ame" is written by Masatsuka-sensei make it required viewing?

Yes, but Soragumi's latest Daigekijô show was *not* that awaited and original (I lost most of my visual aptitudes just looking at the flashy costumes... bwah). See the Gyakuten Saiban sales... there is a great expection of the audience toward the contents of the play itself. (you can still object that it is strange that Legend has so much bad sales given the fact that the usual spectators of those korean dramas are the japanese ladies you could expect to often go see Takarazuka in the meantime)

Jen : that's true it's one more step towards retirement but... I'm convinced it's still better she retires after a carreer accomplishment which is top star promotion, than just like that, without the honors due to a huge sienne as her. Cheer up, we still have time to enjoy her otokoyaku days :)

Ache opens with a bunch of dance/song numbers, then has half a play, then an intermission, then the other half of the play, and then a few more song/dance numbers. So, yes, some plot. ;)

People have been talking about how they want another top/nibante combi in Hanagumi, and I think Yuu and Soh could pull it off very well. *heartsheartshearts*

I was under the impression that hanagumi and soragumi were suffering equally these days?

Well, Hanagumi sales picked up a bit, and were better than Soragumi's, from what I've been told.

Does the fact that "Bara ni Furu Ame" is written by Masatsuka-sensei make it required viewing?

*sigh* It makes it mighty tempting, but I think my empty wallet will prevail.

It was aired on Sky Stage. So you can't buy it, but you can trade for it, if you find someone willing. :)

Mmm. There is a LOT of touching going on in Ache, between all six of the actors/actresses. Thus the hotness I mentioned. *grin* The male star was quite nice on the eyes too, and looked very nice with sweaty Wataru.... Heh.

I know some folks used to do starter DVDs to give people things to start trading collections with. Unfortunately my DVD-burner got killed in the line of duty last summer, but I may be able to replace it by the autumn. :)

And Asako was all: "No! Be more forward! Both of you [including Masaki in it], be more forward! You should be more aggressive towards getting attention on stage."
Oh Asako <33 It makes me wonder if this was advice that Asako received as well ...

But! Now I'm getting my Un-chan/Soh combi back!
As much as I was liking Yuuhi in Hana, I really really love Yuu and Sou <333 The two of them are so much hyper, adorable, cracktastic love XD! Me & My Girl - Hanagumi - is going to be awesome!

Somehow I have a hard time picturing shy Asako, even though I've seen it in old speeches from years and years ago.... while some people like Matobun still radiate adorable shyness. Masaki has never been the shy type, but I'm surprised to see that Mirio is actually really soft-spoken and shy. That gap between on-stage and -off can be crazy sometimes, huh?

I will miss that adorable dynamic between the three of them (Matobun, Yuuhi, and Soh) that just flooded every single one of their interviews. But I still stick to my hunch from way back when that Yuu and Soh could be a very, very hot combi.<3

I think Asako grew out of that shy stage really quickly XD I think Yuu-kun's lingering shyness and all around adorable-ness adds a great element to her kind of top star. Her and Sou are definitely going to be a hot combi XD What little clips I saw of their version of Melancholic Gigolo makes me really really excited for their top star/nibante combi!

Mirio's shy??? That's so cute! <33 And I'm not surprised that Masaki's not XD She's much too brilliant of a 'sienne to have been shy~~

Sometimes I still get the feeling that Asako's pretty shy offstage. Just a general softness in the way she talks in some interviews, and how stiff some of her interviews seem to come out.

Masaki's a huge ol' attention hog. *grin*
