An interesting review, and you caught way more of the plot than I did the one time I watched it, but I must protest that you failed to comment on the two crucial points about this play:
1) Gun-chan is BARELY IN IT. This is not adequately compensated for by:
2) Touko has a SCAR. And is MEAN. And has a SCAR.
That is all anyone needs to know about "Bacchus." Excuse me while I go back to staring at the Touko screencap for awhile.
